My Love

I planned on doing a post about our 20th Anniversary this month later, but I received some of our pictures we had done and I wanted to post this one. It's a pic of a pic, sorry, but I really loved how it turned out.

If you can see how much we love each other, you know we do after all of these years! I am more in love with my sweet, wonderful dear husband then I was on our wedding day 20 years ago! He is my other half, I cannot breathe without him, he fills my soul with so much love and happiness. I am so blessed!

Brace face!

Would love to have a smile like this! :)

My lovely dd had braces, now she looks fabulous! I have always wanted them, hated my teeth, never smile with my teeth showing if I can help it, and cover my mouth when I laugh for the most part.

I grew up poor and no insurance, my parents never felt it was important either. My brother had really bad teeth too, and my grandmother paid for him to get braces when he was 12. I was jealous, I so wanted some too. My right side wasn't so bad, but my left side had canine teeth issues, they sat too low or too high because of overcrowding, thus I learned to smile a crooked smile for a long time if I had to show teeth...lol! Least I was blessed with strong teeth. ;)

So, I decided awhile ago after I paid off Chelsea's braces that if Kevyn (my next in line to get them) needed them, I would pay for his and postpone mine until I could afford to do both. I took him in and his teeth are as perfect as they come he said, which surprised him because Kevyn has big teeth and that usually means problems, but not on him, they are perfect and white even! Lucky! So I went for it!

Last month I got braces, I was so excited, but then the ortho shaved some of them down and that was so painful!! Plus he put these spacers on that make it so I can not chew down all the way. This allows for my brackets to be safe, but also allows for me not to be able to chew except for in a dime size spot on either side. I looked at the bright side, I can lose weight with this! right? :) It has been an adjustment for me, I have learned what foods break down easily and which ones don't. I have also found sadly, that most of the foods that are easier to eat, are not always the best for me...lol! I lost 2 pounds, but I am hopeful now that I am learning I can lose more in the next few months.

Today I went back in for my monthly visit, and I can tell you Tylenol is not cutting it! I was warned this was not easy, and I am trying to talk myself into pretending it doesn't hurt, and even if it does (and believe me it does! Moving almost 39 year old teeth is hard work :)) it will be worth it in a year and a half, I will have a smile I am proud of for once! WOOHOO!

MWAH!
Have a great day!

Season's Change

I keep promising I will keep up with this blog, but have been unsucessful this summer in doing so. It has been a busy time here, seems even more busy with the kids home all day. We have had a great summer together, and it's not over yet! :)

A lot of changes happening here. Scott's mom and dad left to go on a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint's they went to Arkansas and most likely will come home sounding a little southern *grin* - it will be neat to see them learn and grow through this process, and all of us along with them. I am excited for them, and hope we can have the opportunity next summer to go on a fun filled family roadtrip to go pick them up, and on the way go to some church history sites. :)

I am going to miss them deeply though, they are my mom and dad in every way-some say they are not fond of their in-laws, but I adore mine! It's been hard to say goodbye, but I know this is a wonderful journey for them, plus webcams will help! :) At their farewell I had the honor of putting food and decor together for a huge family gathering. I put my large tent to use and some of my fun catering too. I thought it turned out nice.

The day before the 4th of July our sweet dog China passed away. :( She was 15 years old, we have had her since she was a puppy. She was a smooth chow, and the sweetest dog ever! It has been so hard, after her companion Cinders died last year we thought she would go soon too, but she was a tough old bird, but her suffering was great. We agonized for many months whether we should help her, but couldn't imagine life without her-it was so hard. I am imagining her up in Heaven playing with Cinders and our other animals we have lost over the years. :) We have one dog left-Shaggy- he is 13 years old now, and I worry we do not have a lot of time left with him too. I am not sure if we will ever get anymore animals at this point-it's too hard sometimes.
Goodbye my China doll-mwah!

We had family pictures taken a few weeks back for Scott's mom and dad, it was fun and a long time coming. I can not wait to get them, I took some while there with Chelsea's camera, it's not the best camera, but I got a few good ones-this ones especially of my four awesome -growing too fast for their own good- kids.

Mayson-Chelsea-Kevyn and Justyce

We just came back from Bear Lake, it was the first time this year which according to my dh is not enough! lol! We uaually go a lot in the summer, but it's just been a busy one with other things to do. Here's some pictures of the kids having fun. :)

Everyone getting ready to go for a ride on the big banana! :)

The makings of a sand castle next to my dh's sexy "white" legs! hee hee!

Justyce loves the beach!

So do the older boys, they love the water!

************

I also have to add that I am a Twihard now! I have read Twilight finally along with New Moon, Eclipse and I am anxious to read the new one "Breaking Dawn" this Saturday! After I was done within a week, my dd read them and.......shockingly I got my dh to read it! He's on the first one and pretended he didn't really care about it, but we caught him all weekend reading it and he is not a reader! lol! I even took this picture of him after he fell asleep the other night with it in his hands-proof he's addicted! rofl!

If you have not read this series, I highly recommend it, I love the way she writes, sucks you right in, and very entertaining.

Until next time-have a wonderful day-week-month-year! MWAH!

Our WDW Vacation

We went to Walt Disney World this last week as a family vacation and a graduation trip for our dd and her friend "M". It was the first time for any of us to go to WDW, and we LOVED it!!

Since my dd and I had gone to Florida last year for her HOSA, we knew it was hot and humid there, but it still doesn't prepare you for it fully, you get off that plane and bam! It hits you, not something we get here in Utah. Having grown up on both the Alantic coast and Pacific coast I have lived it, but I have been in UT for many years, and you get used to what you know. Aside from the heat, we loved it and had a great time!

I found a home to rent, it was cheaper then any hotel I found, and we had it all to ourselves! Four bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and our own pool!! We were only 7 miles away from the parks, and it was so worth it, we had a great time! If anyone is interested in going there that way feel free to e-mail me, I'll tell you all about it.

First night we went to the Super Wally World down the road from us and stocked up on bottled water, drinks, milk, cereal, paper bowls-spoons-cups etc. Some snacks and a small fan to keep me happy at night ;). This saved us a lot, we ate breakfast everyone morning at the house before we headed off to the park. We froze the water bottles and put them in our backpack we brought, along with small fans for the kids, band-aids, sunscreen, and other things we needed.

Thursday we headed to Epcot, this is the one we thought we needed to spend the less time at, and we had a Pirate Dinner Show that night so we had to leave early. In the end we came back to Epcot another day because we really loved it, and wanted to see all of it! We rode on a few fun rides and then headed to see the world.

Ready to GO!

Epcot has 11 Countries to visit, our first day we saw Mexico....

Norway -where Justyce thought he could move Viking ships lol!

China-well parts of it, mostly we enjoyed seeing our favorite Dragon! :)

That night we went to the Pirates dinner and it was fun! Food was great, the entertainment was even better, and we were able to participate in it too! It was too dark to take more pictures, but the interior was wonderful!

We slept great that night, then in the morning we headed to the Magic Kingdom! This park is a lot like Disneyland, and a lot of rides and fun to be had!

Had to get Minnie ears and a shot of a girls dream..right? :)

Saw lots of characters, some from afar, others up close

A parade
Jail!

How would it be to be pushed around?

This was a fun show!

Stitch is J's favorite, he even picked up some hands to match!
Every boys dream-luckily I have 3 more years to teach him better skills! I rode with him and he gave me whip lash!
Cute characters!

Sorry, Since this will take me forever to post all the fun pictures, I will make this two posts, and post the rest tomorrow. Goodnight! mwah!

So much to say....

Yes, again it's been forever since I wrote anything-sure seems like my journal at home, I tend to forget about it for awhile-then I regret it. :)

Now my dd is graduated *sniff*sniff*

She's an amazing young woman, and I had such a hard day that day emotionally. It really sets in that she's a big girl now! I am not ready for it, might not ever be? Yet, I have no doubts she will do great things in her life, and be happy-what more can I ask for? She just signed up for college, had a big orientation yesterday, and she is very excited to start in the fall.

All the kids are out of school, we just got back from a week long vacation to Disney World!! First time for all of us, and it was our dd and her friends Graduation trip as well. We had a great time, and my next post will be all about it, and huge- because I took a ton of pictures! Maybe tomorrow I will post it when I have more time? lol!

I have been on a very strict diet for a month now to help me with my Fibromyalgia, I have not had any flare ups since, and I am feeling a lot better, so I am hopeful it is helping me. I did stray from it during our trip because it was just too hard to find food I could eat, but I am back on it hoping I didn't mess up too much. :) I am determined to walk a lot everyday, I know it will help me too. I am just happy things are better in this front, I feel a sense of normality in a way. I know now how much I take for granted, need to work on that more.

Better get back to laundry and house work, seems like now that school is out it piles up even more, and you can't keep the house clean! Least now I can sleep in, so that might be bonus....maybe not? hee hee

Hi!

Ok, so I am so far behind, seems like life gets so busy this time of year. Kids are ready for school to be out, next week is Senior week and our dd is busy and excited to graduate! Me-not so much, this only confirms she is growing up, and I may have to let go a little before I know it eek!

Chelsea went to her Senior dance last weekend, just seeing her in her dress made me want to cry, she is so grown up right before my eyes!

She is receiving an award Friday for lettering in HOSA which is neat. Next week is her last of school, wow! The boys go another week after that, it's coming up fast.

Did I mention she's in love too?!! Yes, it's funny how that happens so fast, she's known him for years but never connected before now, she taught him guitar while he taught her piano and the rest is history, but the catch is, and this might be a good thing lol, he's leaving next week to serve a two year mission! She is so bummed they didn't have more time together before he left, but I teased her, this might be just enough time! ;) He's a great guy and the boys love him, my dh actually does too which is rare for him to like a guy hanging around his dd hee hee! He has a great sense of humor, he fits our family in that sense, but I am not ready to be a mother in law! So two years is good (if she waits)gives her time to get a nursing degree, and me time to handle the thought of her wanting to marry!

We are also getting ready to go to Florida soon, we are excited, the kids are so excited about Disney World, none of us have ever been there, so if anyone has advice we would love it!

I am doing ok health wise, I have had a few good weeks, and been able to catch up on some house work and laundry :) I went to another MD who looks at the natural approach as well as modern medicine. We decided to try a no yeast diet which is shown to help those with Fibromylagia, Lupus, MS, Diabetes, Chronic Fatigue, PMS, and other issues. I figured I had nothing to lose, if it worked it could help me feel better, and I will lose the rest of my weight which is a plus. If it doesn't then, I will go back to trying some meds that were recommended. The lyrica I was on for 3 weeks did nothing but make me miserably dizzy all day long despite taking it at night, and I gain almost 10 pounds in that time! Made me so sad, the medication they offered to replace it has the same side affects, so I chose to look at a natural approach. I am hopeful.

The first few days were bad on this diet because they did an allergy test on me and asked for me to not have those things I was sensitive to. My blood sugars were all over the place, so I talked to the Doctor again he agreed with me to just follow the diet, and still have those other things. It's been much better, not easy but a lot better. I can do it!

I hope everyone is well, I so need to catch up on everyone's blog! :)

Health Update

Test all came back with-in normal range so I am told I have Fibromyalgia for sure. Sometimes hard to swallow but I know no matter what I can turn this into a positive, and I will!

Looking at alternative helps right now, and I am back to walking again-slowly working my way back up, eating healthy and taking one day at a time. I have overcome a lot in my life, this will be no different! :)

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. MWAH!

Senior pictures

Chels showing her fun frustrated side :)

Been hard realizing my oldest is graduating from HS this coming month! We decided to take some of our own pictures since we are a family who loves to do their own thing if we can. If it didn't work out I would take her to a professional. lol :)

Here is some of them I took of her in different settings, with things she loved like her guitar, flowers, letterman jacket etc.

She's beautiful!

My favorite with her guitar

This is my favorite of her smiles :)

I put some of our favorites to a collage I am going to insert in her invitations

Going to print them off this week. What do you think?

Some updates

I have really been out of it lately, seems like life passes me by in some aspects. Most days I cannot get out of bed because the pain is so bad in my joints and muscles. Some days I feel good enough to do some housework and play with my kids, some days I actually feel like exercising which my body so needs, but if I do too much I am laid up the whole next week.

I still have no answers, except I went to a doctor my sister works for, he is not covered under my insurance so he was unable to do test like he wanted to, but he examined me and talked to me for some time. He felt I possible could have Fibromyalgia but it usually does not affect the hands and feet, and both of those are very affected. Some days I cannot even type because my hands hurt so much and are weak. Yet I have pain when you touch me by my joints in most areas which he said is not normal and usually a symptom of Fibromyalgia. His other thought is Lupus, that is where the blood tests come in.

I have an appointment with a Rheumatologist this month so I am hopeful I will have some answers soon. For now her doctor gave me some medicine that is given to some who have Fibro and so far I am not feeling it's help, but it may take time? I am hopeful. I am hopeful for some answers to what is really wrong with me so I can get back to normal whatever that is :P I just want to have my energy back, my body back.

If anyone has some thoughts on these two ailments please feel free to e-mail me at vwittc at aol dot com I would love to hear about it. Thanks!

Everything else is going good, my sweet dh is healing nicely from his shoulder surgery. My kids are enjoying their last few months of school. We are getting ready for my dd's graduation and for our trip to Disneyworld!

Hopefully I can catch up to all of your blogs I sure have missed them! Hope your all well and happy! :)

San Francisco

My wonderful dh and I had a fabulous time together in SF, we went with some great friends of ours Dana and Aaron, which made the trip that much better!

Great Hotel room and view!

I only wanted to do one thing, and that was go to Alcatraz! We did that and so much more. SF is an interesting city, each corner has something different to see and great food to eat! I enjoyed our time there but I was ready to go home, I am such a country girl at heart and big cities are fun to visit, but I like the calm laid back nature of the country more. :)

The food was great at Pat's Cafe

I love little out of the way cafe's like this one, they make the best breakfast foods!
Oh and we went to Joe's Cable Car featured on the Food Network, Dana and Aaron told us all about it, some good food there!

We found out early on that taking a cab for the four of us was cheaper then most transportation and easier, but me thinks deadlier! Holy moly all of them drive crazy!!!! Some do not even have great brakes, one was screeching and a wailing the whole way up and down those treacherous hills, I am surprised we all made it out of SF alive! lol!
We rode this cable car, so fun!

We went to Fisherman's Wharf

Loved all the ships there

Interesting architect and things to see
